Welcome to Ecstatica
For Harbour Lights and Australian LGBT Ice Hockey 'Ecstatica' is all about joy, excitement, and feeling free to be exactly who you are while playing the sport you love.
We will be PUCKING PROUD, with an ‘ice resurfacer’ (aka., Zamboni) and light up hockey sticks to showcase the sport of ice hockey!
Below is an overview of our float, costuming and what to expect.

Workshop Information:
CHOREGRAPHY WORKSHOP INFORMATION:
Date: Sunday 22nd February 2026
Where: Tillman Park (Unwins Bridge Rd, Sydenham NSW 2044)
Time: 3pm to ~5:30pm
Social → General Gordon Hotel for dinner & drinks.
What to expect:
Choreography videos will be shared in advance, with group practice on the day before heading to a pub dinner & drinks for those keen.
Note: It is really important to get as many of our marchers together on the workshop date. We do understand that some members are interstate or really cannot make it. We will be in touch to discuss how this will work!
Mardi Gras Parade Details:
When: Saturday 28th February
Where: Hyde Park South
Time: Harbour Lights will march down Oxford St at 8:45pm!
Code of Conduct: SGLMG stands for equality, respect and inclusiveness. This must be extended to all Entrants and Participants, and all Entrants and Participants must act with kindness and respect.
Media: Please note that by registering to march, you consent to photography and media being captured.
Parade Costumes/props:
Roles:
Jersey wearers: Making up the main part of our dance team, the jersey wearers will be shining bright in Harbour Lights jerseys (which we’ll provide) that have been enhanced with lights and rainbow flourishes.
Gear wearers: Our brave geared-up greats will be wearing ice hockey gear… and not much else! Show up and show off in whatever combination of gear (shoulder pads, chest protectors, ice hockey shorts, etc.) you like.
On the day we’ll be adding Pride Tape, lights and other rainbow accessories to get your gear looking Mardi Gras ready. Please note that gear wearers will need to provide their own gear.
Skaters: Skaters will be wearing gear AND jerseys, and coasting around the edges of the group to interact with the crowd and generally look amazing. Please note that skaters will need to provide their own skates and MUST be wearing protective gear.
& Don’t forget to bring:
Your best Mardi Gras flair! We love fun, creative, pride-filled looks with an ice hockey twist. White Harbour Lights jerseys will be available, but feel free to glam up your own gear.
