Let's celebrate Wear it Purple on ice!

‌Wear it Purple Day (The last Friday of August) is an international celebration of LGBTQIA+ youth. Around the world, people put on their best purple ‘fits’ in a visible show of support for the queer youth in our communities. Visit the Wear it Purple site for more information on the movement and how you can be part of it. 

This year, the Harbour Lights are celebrating Wear It Purple Day with a purple-hued social skate and ice hockey game.

Best of all: All the profit from the day will be donated to Wear it Purple to support the great work they do!

Event Info

‌When: Saturday, 9 August 2025

Puck drop: 4:00PM

‌Where: Phillip Swimming & Ice Skating Centre - 1 Irving St, Phillip ACT 2606

‌Wear: White Harbour Lights jersey/Bi Flag Pride On Ice jersey (we will have spare jerseys on the day)

Tape: We will have purple and/or pride tape available for everyone to Wear it Purple!

Game Format: 3 × 17 min periods.

Skill Level: Mixed

Note: Social skate (2:45pm) tickets can be purchased on the day at the rink
